We are a Safe, Authentic Community for Women in Recovery
The LightHouseRVA is an invitation for each person to feel seen and known on their journey toward healing. Each week, we remind one another that we aren't a program–we are a family of friends. A place where everyone gives, everyone receives, and no one walks alone. Rooted in compassion, we believe that love heals the world one relationship at a time.
Together, we share meals and participate in a variety of uplifting activities and community service projects. For our friends in need of clothing, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, towels, sheets and other basic necessities, we accept referrals for appointments in our boutique, The Sunshine Shop.
If there is ever a need we are unable to meet directly under our roof, we have an extensive
resource guide to help connect our friends in recovery with trusted partners and pathways to support. Whether it is housing, food, healthcare, employment or legal aid, we do everything we can to walk alongside them and make sure no one feels lost or alone.
Who We Serve
Many of the women joining our gatherings are in transitional housing and on the path toward living independently. Some have a history of incarceration or homelessness. Others live on their own or with family and are simply looking to meet new friends with shared stories.
